Summary:Shikamaru thought washing floors would be a drag. Then she changed his mind.

"What a total drag." Shikamaru muttered, leaning on the wall.

"Standing there complaining about it won't get it done." Sakura said, holding out a bucket of soapy water and a rag.

Sighing, Shikamaru took them and stood there, eyeing the floor wearilly.

Sakura shook her head and pulled her hair back in a ponytail to keep it out of the way before kneeling down and setting to work.

Shikamaru watched her for a moment. She took to cleaning a lot easier than Ino did. No complaining about breaking nails or how it would effect her hair. At least he wouldn't have a headache when this was done.

Heaving another sigh, he kneeled down next to her, working with less than a third the vigor his companion was.

"You'll never get the dirt up like that. You have to scrub harder. Come on, Shikamaru, your a big strong boy. Put some muscle in it!"

Shikamaru groaned. "That sounds like work."

"Do it right the first time, and we won't have to do it again." Sakura replied.

Well, she had a point. But Shikamaru didn't really feel like doing it anyway.

Finaly, Sakura reached over, covering his hands with her own.

"Like this."

And she began to push his hands and the soapy rag around on the floor. She had soft hands. And she smelled nice too. Not that gagging smell that a lot of girls got from wearing too much perfume.

Sort of like a feild of flowers. He liked it.

Without much concious thought, he reached up a wet, soapy hand and brushed away a stray strand of hair that had come loose and was hanging in front of her face.

She looked a bit startled, a very light blush creeping into her cheeks.

Shikamaru smiled to himself as he turned away to scrub a different area of the floor. Maybe it wouldn't be such a drag afterall.
