The Quibbler
Hey guys! This is the first edition of our shiny new newsletter, The Quibbler. It will come out periodically when changes happen around Bello Estremita that you need to know about. The newsletter consists of two sections, fondly called LOL ADMIN STUFF and WOO PLOT STUFF. The first one deals with changes around the board, and the second deals with what is actually happening in BE's storyline. Easy enough, right? Right.
LOL ADMIN STUFF
Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie
What's this? Bello Estremita no longer has six admins, but four? Yup, that's right. You no longer see Squishy 2.0 and Friction Fireball on the admin list, because sadly they've both been inactive for a while, and don't have enough time to commit to the board. We still love you though, guys!
All You Need Is Love
And Spaz has found it, yup yup. A new man, an old job, and schoolwork have sadly taken our Spaz away from us indefinitely. She'll be back eventually when she's less busy, but for now we'll have to put up with much less of Dickon, Theo, Remus, and Snape. Let's raise a glass to Spaz, for she has found what the rest of us lack...a REAL LIFE. -clink-
Flick of the Switch
BE recently went through an account purge, in which all accounts inactive for at least two months were deleted from the system. Most of these ended up being users who registered but never applied, but the few active characters that were deleted had their character applications moved from 'Ministry Files' into a new subforum under the 'Character Applications' board called 'Old Applications'. From now on, characters inactive for two months or more will have their accounts deleted and their applications moved to this subforum. Should someone return and want to pick up their character again, they can re-register and copypasta their old application.
November Rain
Since BE is nearly a year old and we've been roleplaying in the first two months of school for that entire time, we've decided to finally move the board date to November 1975. However, those of you who would still like to roleplay the Halloween Ball that we talked about back in (actual) October can still do so. There's a shiny new subforum in 'Memories and Flashbacks' specifically for ballgoers. This subforum is for anything relating to the Halloween Ball; anything from awkward 'will-you-go-with-me' threads, to the actual ball itself. Have fun!
Success Story
The plot thread in the Information forum has been updated to reflect more of our actual storyline. It's also been updated as the advertisement in our "Port Keys" forum, so go copy-paste the new advert all over roleplay forums with guest-friendly advertising boards! Be sure, however, to make sure that we don't already have an advert on a site before you post there.
Madness to the Method
We've recently acquired a rotating banner code (ok, I lied - we've had it for a while and are just now implementing it) and Rancidface has been kind enough to offer to make character-specific banners for the board. If you want to see your character in the rotation, go here to request a banner.
WOO PLOT STUFF
Backstabber
A disturbing new trend emerged early in the year when Gerrick Blake decided enough was enough and his younger brother needed to be taken down a notch or four. After a particularly sickening bit of treachery on Nick's part, Gerrick has enlisted the help of four notorious Gryffindors. He's instructed them to hit Nick with everything they've got, and in return, he's not going to pummel them into oblivion. James still isn't quite sure he believes Gerrick, but the temptation to scratch the itch that is Nick Blake is too much and James and his men have begun to make battle plans.

When in Rome
The first weekend of October was Hogwarts' family weekend. This year there were many interesting developments: Sirius Black nearly met a very unpleasant end at the hands of his very unpleasant cousin Bellatrix, Adele Chantrea was (unhappily) reunited with her parents, and Isolde West was visited by a friend from America. Laylend McDowel made himself seen on Hogwarts' grounds for one of the first times since graduation, and inadvertently collected a harem by issuing an innocent invitation to a night of movies, popcorn, and ice-cream at his apartment. Emerson Maddox attended family weekend with the Blakes and met his intended, Rhiannon, for the first time, and found her to be much different from the innocent girl he imagined. Isabel Rousseau, who should have been indoors because of an accidental Quidditch injury, was up and about visiting with her father, and Mark Brazzleton learned that his mother is going to be - in his words - incubating a small human inside her body. He's going to be a big brother! James Potter's father extended an invitation for dinner to the Evans family, and the invitation was accepted; hilarity ensued and James finally got a kiss out of Lily. Sirius tortured Petunia to his heart's content and felt much better after his near-death experience at Bellatrix's hands.
Butterflies and Hurricanes
In relationship news, there have been some events of interest. The most noticeable of these is that Lily Evans has agreed to date James Potter. After FIVE YEARS, he's finally done it! And she hasn't put his head through a wall! Other interesting tidbits include Mark Brazzleton's brand-new relationship with Theodora Ethelburt, begun at the Halloween Ball, and Rhiannon Blake's betrothal to Emerson Maddox. Bren Maddox and his betrothed, Tabitha Salvage, are soon to begin planning their wedding, and Helga Ryzhenkova was recently betrothed to Steffan Maddox.
Epilogue: What If
...I'd written everything that had happened since BE began, which is what I started out trying to cover? I'd be here for days! Unfortunately this is all for this edition of The Quibbler, but keep your eyes out for new editions as things begin to change around Bello Estremita!
