Since I do have high hopes in downing Void this Wednesday, I thought I'd turn things up a notch and try another easy boss (provided ppl know what to do and such)
Click on the name to watch the youtube vid...High Astromancer Solarian
Special attack: Time Bomb (litreally, it's a bomb with a timer on it)
Oooooooook... As the video shows, it's a 2 phase fight, with 2 stages. Straight forward with no tricks and no difficulties whatsoever, think of it as another Blizzard failed attempt to redo the "Sade of Aaran" fight
All the raid (other than tanks and melee) should gather on one spot, pref on the Paladin tank. This will be explained later.
When the fight begins, Solarian will most likely cast Arcane Missiles on a player that do 3.5k Arcane dmg for 3 shots, cannot be interrupted so healers watch out since she tends to cast this spell ALOT throughout stage 1.
During the fight, she will cast a debuff called Wrath of the Astromancer
, or what we will reffer to as Time Bomb
If a person in the raid is affected by Time Bomb, the whole raid must move away from that person, OR if that person is focused enough to notice that he has the Time Bomb, he will move away from the raid. Once the timer reaches zero count, the bomb will detonate throwing the bomb person into the air taking 8k dmg (can crit) but takes no fall dmg from this ^^
However, IF the person blows up inside the raid, or within range of some ppl, they too will get blown up for 8k dmg, and in addition, all of them will take fall dmg resulting in pretty much a face splat on the ground
To easily avoide this, I strongly suggest you download an addon called "Solarian Alaram" found here
to make it easier for you to notice if you're the bomb, or not ^^
This addon will make your screen flash blue and start to shake which pretty much is enough to make you notice that you've got the bomb, if you fail to notice this then I also suggest you go see an eye docotor
The bomb effect can be removed by either Paladin self bubbles, Mage Iceblocks, and Rogue Cloak of Shadows to save you the trouble of running away + saving teh healers mana to heal you up
Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to the 2nd phase of stage 1...
Solarian after a while will teleport herself into the middle then vanishes, creating 3 light pillars. Those pillars spawn 12 adds in total (none elites) which will run towards the raid players randomly.
Now, since the whole raid is gathered up on one spot, and melee and tanks gather there too, our reliable Paladin will plant his AoE down so that the adds will target him instead of the raid once they pass into it
Then the locks and mages can AoE them down to dust ^^ This should be done in 15 secs as Solarian will pop up again and phase one starts again.
When Solarian comes up, she will spawn from one of the 3 light pillars, the other 2 will spawn elite priests to aid her. The priests dont do much... just Smites, melee dmg, and Flash Heals which should be kicked/interrupted to avoid them from healing the boss. Once they are down, go back to Solarian and do what you've been doing before she vanished, and wait for her to vanish again, then repeat the process untile you get her down to 20%
When the sad sad Mage hits 20% she will turn herself into a Void being of some sort. This phase is practially piss easy, only thing is that she fears and does Shadowbolts to random ppl. There is no Time Bomb debuff, or even adds, so just nuke the freak down and enjoy the free epic loots that they should've given you before the start of the fight to save you time and energy
That's all there is for this easy fight
Download the addon, pay attention to it and keep a steady dps pace and she's done for ^^ Clearly shows that the phrase "Da Bomb" isn't always a good thing imo xD
