Yeah, the BK games can get a little rough. The Angel of Darkness pretty much had me in tears and it took me two playthroughs of BKEW to master the battle system. Oh, and Totakeke has a good point. There are quite a few uncensored spoilers here and there. Tread carefully.

Augh. Evil bosses of evil. There were some that took me at least a week to get through. Like that three-on-three, until I figured out that using one of the characters as a healer helps so much.

That song was okay. Chaotic Dance 2 was better, though, because it had an epic intro. But that's just my opinion.

And yes, that three-on-three is where I got stuck. It is EVIL!!!!

Chaoticdance was on a whim. xD It's the only song that I thought would make a decent username for me from now on.

And yes, the three-on-three was...gah. But, like a large portion of boss fights(at least for me), it's mostly a concept of having one character as healer and not letting your party members going under a certain amount of HP.

Wow I didn't know so many people had trouble with this game. I guess I'm a better gamer than I thought

Anyway, welcome to the boards and all that jazz. If you REALLY want to be accepted, you have to watch all of this (<--click) without dying from the awesomeness.

I never had any trouble with the first game (still on my first playthrough of Origins).In my case, though, I think it's because I tend to over-train. I stink when it comes to non-RPGs.

...It was 170 hours actually...And for the record, I treated that game partially like a Pokemon game spending, hours catching, training, and evolving monsters even if I didn't need so many.

Also, there really is no skill in gaining more levels to beat something. It just means I have a lot of patience.

That is what I was talking about: patience.

I'm also working on monsters and skits, and is resulting very well

Whoa you can catch and train monsters in ToS2? I was going to avoid it because of all the bad reviews, but I'll get it just for that. And the cameos of course...

Don't listen to the bad reviews! is a very good game. The only think you have to do is play the game without constantly thinking "this game is bad, this game is bad...".
Catching monsters is great

I saw a few vids of the game. It kinda reminds me of Kingdom Hearts. I'll buy it if I get a Wii for christmas.

Also, for some reason, it seems like Emil's voice is a lot less manly outside of battle. Just something I noticed.

I am a bit surprised at how the fandom is divided over this game (I'd say about 65-70% of people who enjoyed the first game enjoyed Dawn of the New World). I want to go into more detail, but that's what my upcoming review on the game is for. ^^ What I can say is that I did keep my expectations low. I knew that it would not be as good as the original and I already knew from previews that the older character are enhanced cameos. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised at how good the game is. It's not as good as the first, but I enjoyed it about as much as the original. It's clear that the developers and localizers put some real effort into this game when they could have easily made a half-derriered sequel.
