Here's yet another case of me seeing something interesting on one message board and then trying it out here!

Anyway, in this thread I will be make a list of all the game we completed this year. Here you post what games you've finished, for what system, and if you want, the date you finished it. It can be any game for any system, console, PC or handheld, old or new. Virtual Console games and downloadable games for Wii Ware, PSN and XBLA count as well. It doesn't matter if you started it last year and finished it this year, started a game five years ago, put it down, then pick it back up and finish it this year, or even if you finished a game you've beaten ten times already. List it all here. At the start of a new month, I will be adding the games people have listed to the grand list in this post.

While I will be listing how many games each of us finishes, this isn't a competition. it's just for fun and to see how many the whole lot of us can complete!

I completed one game last month, and that was BioShock for the PC.

Later this year I hope to beat Fallout 3 (also for the PC) and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (for the Wii). Once I'm done with those, I may look into another run of Oblivion...or perhaps the Prince of Persia trilogy. Time will tell.

So games you beat before and completed again this year count? Woo. xD That just makes my list ten times longer.

Games completed so far:

DS:
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations

Wii:
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Gamecube:
Baten Kaitos Origins

Playstation:
Legend of Mana

SNES:
Super Mario World

Wait... do computer emulators count?

It counted for the list on the RPGamer forum, so I'm counting it here, too. XD

And yes, computer emulations count, though I'll still list it under it's original platform 9unless I suppose, you played the GBA emulation of Final Fantasy VI instead of the SNES version for instance).

Wow... This thread just reminded me about the millions of games I have yet to beat.
Does it count if it's a replay?

Hmm...let's see...in 2009, so far, I have completed...no games, because I've started new files in most of them recently, and also have had no time to play any. So, as I finish any, I will keep you posted ^^ I should be getting a lot more PS2 one since I just bought the system, and with new DS/Wii games coming out, I'll have plenty to keep me busy happy.gif

As I've already said, replayed games are fine. Even if you replayed a game ten times already then replay and finish it this year, it counts.

Oh yes, another thing!

I beat Soul Calibur IV (XBox 360) in January as well. Specifically, I beat the Tower of Lost Souls, the hardest single-player challenge in the game. That's as good as beating the game in my book. =P

Not sure if I can post a new reply to this thread, but it's relevant. xD;
Added Baten Kaitos Origins to the list, since I just beat it last night. Gah, that ending!

I hope you won't mind, but if I see that you completed a game in the "What have you been playing?" thread and don't post it here, I'll add it to the main list anyway. For instance, Milly, you said that you finished your fourth play-through of Twilight Princess.

If you don't want to me, just tell me. smile.gif

As promised, I updated the completed list for this month (it's in the first post of this thread). If there are any errors, please tell me so I may correct them.

Specifically, OmegaBlade, could you please tell me what system you played Prince of Persia on?

And Milly, I believe you said you had the GameCube version of Twilight Princess, but I'm not certain. Could you confirm this?

Anyway, keep it up, guys! ^^

Apologies for the double-post, but this thread hasn't seen any activity for a while, so I figured a bump was appropriate.

You may now add Final Fantasy X, on the PlayStation 2, to my list.

xD Love it, Straws. It's actually pretty tasteful compared to what I've seen joke-wise today.
(I actually WANT The Last Remnant; and Quest 64 is actually really fun. )

New game beaten, by the way. Soul Blazer for the SNES.

ALSO! Shaq Fu may have been a terrible game, but it made my childhood. I don't care what you think of me for saying that, because I was too young to know what made a bad game. Besides, you can't deny that the concept was awesome. XD

I listed The Last Remnant because the 360 version is suppose to be incredibly buggy. Plus Macstorm over at RPGamer complained about its story (and while he was playing it, his 360 RROD'ed on him, so the joke now it that the game broke it). I hear that the recently released PC version fixes these bugs.

As for Quest 64, I based most of this list on hearsay. I never played any of these personally (except for Tos and Tos: DotNW) so I can't agree if they're bad or not. I actually know some people who think Final Fantasy Mystic Quest does not deserve the flack it gets and I love a fair number of unloved games (FFCC, Sword of Mana, etc).

I wanted to see her reaction but if she came on yesterday, she didn't comment. XP

Again, I based it on hearsay. I certainly didn't know you played the game before. XD

Ding ding! New one! Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2.

Oh man... Just wow. I cried a little bit during that ending.

Omega, I totally know what you mean by that. I played a plethora of horrible games in my childhood, and I just thought they were the most awesome things in the world. Beyond the Beyond anyone?
