is it alright if i use a Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6, its one that can be reconfigured because its all interlocking sections. if i check out how it locks together i could replace most of it so it fits the setting better. plus its only 18, here a link.

Yep Recon comes under the heading of single shot Pistol. This is even if you stick the stock and barrel on due to the fact that it's not terribly easy to cock it

Please also note that this is not an Exhaustive list, if you have any weapon not on this list please let me know so I can put it in the appropriate category.

Please also note that most weapons with a motor will have a Darkwall Battery powering them.

A little bit of pedantry (sorry), semi-auto weapons are those that fire a single shot per trigger pull but load in ammunition automatically. As such, the longstrike etc are not semi-auto but are manual-action weapons, similar in many ways to bolt-action rifles such as the Enfield.

I don't know if Nerf, etc do produce a true semi-auto, the Stampede fires as long as the trigger is held down making it a fully automatic weapon, though the cyclic rate is probably closer to a semi-auto.

I like your category of 'Machine-Rifle' for the Stampede and would say game-specific names for weapon categories would work rather well.

Bit curious about the battery thing though, I was planning on modding a stampede to look steam powered or is that not appropriate for the background?
