Yeah, pkfl is right Artifex packs are amazing. I checked some other sites and the packs are good but not as good as yours.(I mean no offense to other design teams). biggrin.gif I will be devastated when you stop. unsure.gif I know real life overrules the game, but still,I hope at least some of the origional team can put together a new team when some of you leave. wink.gif

No.

Seriously guys, you need to learn to read tongue.gif This is the last project Artifex is doing. There will be no more projects from the team. There will be very, very few, if any, projects from any members of the team on their own.

After IE is finished, we're done.

I know!
But I'm saying you could remake the team with different people.

Why would we remake the team with different people? None of us want to make a new team.

QUOTE (Mikaboshi @ Sep 1 2009, 12:18 AM)
When Billy Corgan said he was getting the Smashing Pumpkins back together, I was ecstatic. They were my favorite band!

I was however disappointed to find out that only 2 of the 4 original band members were coming back, and since March of this year, that number of original band members is now 1 - Billy Corgan.

Admittedly, Billy Corgan is a great musician, and I think so are the people he plays with in the band. However...I don't listen to the Smashing Pumpkins anymore.

Personally, a name like Artifex is more than just a title for a "a group of people that come together and design expansion packs for ZT2". Just like Smashing Pumpkins to me is more than just a name for "a group of people that come together and play music".

I only speak for myself when I say this (as I haven't at all discussed this with the other members and they may feel differently), but I would personally like to see Artifex remain mostly intact with what it is.

I use the Smashing Pumpkins example because it best illustrates my point, that changing what is associated with the name changes the name and what it stands for completely, and if that's the case, why not just change it altogether instead of trying to grasp at strings that are intent on floating away?

That there are several amazing artists for the game out there, I do not deny that. But Artifex for me is a lot more than just a grouping of artistic talent.

Here is the example I used before that Sea Sheperd was referring to. I was trying to explain that we CAN'T just swap out people.

WE are Artifex. It's not just a name. You say that some other groups don't do as good as Artifex does? Well, by just replacing us, it just becomes some other group again. It's not Artifex anymore.

We've been designing for so many years. I myself have been doing it since I graduated high school - 5 years ago. And Penguinman was doing it who knows how long before that even!

It's been a long, fun road but eventually every road leads to somewhere, and its a different place then where you left.

You guys have to understand, that after IE is completed, Artifex is no more. There is no passing of the torch, of the name, etc. It's finished. It's been amazing to work with such talented people and to provide content for you all that you've clearly enjoyed. We appreciate all of the sentiments and the support you've given us over the years. But there is no resurrecting Artifex after this.
