A hunting We Shall Go, Mardoc and Silence Hunt

With silent steps, Mardoc entered the Cobair plains, and waited for the female friend he had made earlier to join him.
He took note of the darkening skies, which would give them the advantage in this upcoming hunt. He also sniffed the air, trying to scope out some targets for them to go after.
A large doe would be fantastic, but alas, he owned a desert terrain, and he knew that a doe wouldn't be on the menu unless it somehow wandered from a neighboring packland.

Most likely, they'd be dining on a hare or, if they were lucky, a goat.

She ran to join him. When she reached him, the skys were very dark, meaning more shadows. Alas, one perfect aspect of being black. She smiled at his grin. She made no noise as she smelled the air in different places. When she caught the scent of something, she lowered her head and whinned softly.

He greeted her with a wagging tail and a warm smile and he took note on her senses.
He crouched low to the ground, almost like what a big cat would do when it was readying itself to pounce. He lifted his nose in the air, but unfortunately, he couldn't catch what she was sniffing and that soul problem made him worry a bit.

"What do you sense, Sweet Silence...?"
He spoke in a whisper, for he didn't want to disturb anything.

She looked forward. "The smell is light, but I think it is something humans use. It not far." she looked at him. One teeny tiny little thing she hadn't told him was that humans had started the fire and humans were the reason for the name Druid Pack. So she sort of knew to smell of her enemies.

His brows furrowed as she spoke.
"Humans...? I.... don't think we sould go there if there's humans present...."

He was very weary about what she had said. He had heard tales of what humans did to "wild beasts", and he's seen his father take in a few "pets" of the humans; they were odd, with odd ways of eating, and odd ways of sleeping, and they carried odd attitudes and smells not like what you could find in the wild.

She nodded. "Thats all I smell." or maybe You just don't know the animals here, she thought. Silence moved away from that spot to other trying to get a different smell.

He was starting to get the feeling that he was missing something, but he simply shrugged it off as if it were nothing.
He lifted his black nose high into the air, trying to catch a scent, and after a while, he finally picked up on something.
It wasn't a large animal, just a couple of hares, but at least it was something.

"You want some rabit??"

She smiled. "What a hare raising idea." She loooked at him with a twinkle in her eyes. She started to catch the scent of the grass eating beasts.

A smirk snaked its way onto his face and began to focus on their prey.
He crouched low to the ground, and rustled the earth beneath his talons. He walked slowly, painstakingly, until he got the hares in sight. He stayed in his crouching position for quite some time, allowing the rabbits to get use to the extra pressence.

She stopped and focused on her rumbling stomach. With her maw tightly shut, she too crouched down, but behind the Alpha. Onc of the rabbits stood up and she eyed that one as her prey.

He continued to focus on the rabbits, and after a few moments, he allowed his predator instincts to take over.
Eyes grew wide with the blood lust, and his talons scraped the earth slightly, readying him for the hunt.

He slowly raised his lips and bore his pearly white fangs before lunging and capturing a rabbit within his mighty jowls, though he did have to chase it for a bit.
Within an instant of being caught, the tiny creature was slain.

The meduim framed fae made her way onto the lands, and every once in a while would check behind her to make sure Tobi was still there.
It took her longer to find her brother than she first anticipated, but she did, indeed, track him down.

He was happily eating a hare when she approached, and she had sensed that he just got over one of his little blood lust things.
No matter how much he denied it, she knew he was like their father in the hunting sense.

"Mardoc! Mi amigo, mi bro.... can a friend and I stay within your lands for a bit??"




He snapped from his feast and stared almost blankly at Kiri for a few minutes before realizing who she was. His eyes began to glow with happiness as he saw is baby sister for the first time in years.
"Uh.... sure??"

Silence dropped the dead rabbit at the alpha feet. The kill was easy enough. One leap really. Unfortunatly, she had over stretched her hurt flank, so she left her leg hanging like a limp noodle as she caught sight of the female. She was instanly wary. Females at her old pack had been bottom line unpleasant. Her father had always been there for her and therefore males she trusted more than females, not much but enough. With her eyes hard she backed slowly away and watched the alpha and the female.

Silence....

With the appearance of one of his only two full sisters (they had both the same mother and father), he had all but completely forgot about his lovely ebonite fae friend.
Eyes turned towards her, a warm and encouraging smile upon his face, and he beckoned her to come forth.

"Silence, this is one's sister, Kiri (Key-dee). She and her friend will be staying with us.... alright?"
He had no reason why he was asking her if it was alright, after all, he was the Alpha, and she wasn't even technically a member of his pack, though he hoped for her to become one, and maybe more a bit later.




Kiri nuzzled her brother lovingly, and flashed a toothy, yet totally friendly grin towards her brother's female friend, whom she only presummed to be his gal.
She looked about, waiting for Tobi to arrive, and she was starting to get a bit worried.

The large wolf slowly took his time getting there, his tail flicked over his back in an odd fashion as his nose hit the floor as he glided across the ground, his pace slow and even. Where had that fae gone off to? He had lost track of her and now was only following her scent as he walked along, his dark gaze flicking around briefly before resting on three canine's ahead. His head tilted to the side and he slowed down, stopping suddenly as he caught sight of the alpha. He knew she was talking about a male when she said something about staying here...so why was he wary?

His ears flicked forward then back as he sat down, then suddenly stood back up. He couldn't really make up his mind at what he wanted to do but he shifted his gaze to Kiri, letting his tongue hang from his jaw slightly at the side. He wouldn't speak yet...not until the Alpha addressed him or something.
