hi all, I'm new here but played hard gold a while ago and loved every minute of it. it kinda inspired me to make my own hack of heartgold, but I have no idea what I'm doing with respect to rom hacking. I wanted to completely change the gyms and elite 4 around and make it much harder, as well as much more story driven.

example: first gym is bug type with a lv 16 scizor, so your starter choice would make a big difference.
