Somewhere along the line I believe that a sense of community was being developed.
Somewhere along the line we all knew who each other were.

This topic is meant as a new building block in which AZPK can head in a new and more efficient direction.

I know that we have contact threads (specifically for locations)
this is not meant to replace those, merely to compliment.
If you just joined the forum, this is a great way to meet the loads of people
that are working hard in AZ, and get exposed to the community.

I will start:

Ok. :-)

I am Joey Marion
My cell is 480-776-9952 but currently it is in my brother's possession because he needs it for a month or so
I am a senior at Basha High school and live in Chandler. I started and helped develop this site 2 years ago. I used to do a lot of pk with friends that lived near me but was injured and had to lay off for a while. Most people on the site have only seen the behind the scenes work on this site and not in person. This is because I have been busy, and it's totally changing.
I also play the guitar and mmorpgs. *cough*looking for a graphic designer for the site*cough*

Oh and you can hit me up on msn at ArizonaParkour@hotmail.com

Hey I'm John Meyers and I'm an old geezer of a freshman over at ASU majoring in Bioengineering. I want to design artificial joints and limbs to give people the ability to move back. I was inspired to enter this field by my parkour training smile.gif I'm 22 and engaged, getting married 19 Dec 2008. Between school and getting married and an injury I suffered two months ago I've had a difficult time training since school started but I'm trying to get back into it.

I was inspired to begin practicing parkour and free running by Chase Armitage and the rest of 3Run (check this video out to see who I mean). I started training the beginning of June through MURG's parkour classes and have fallen in love with parkour. I love movement and not only practice parkour but also play many sports and do ballroom dancing. If I'm moving, I'm happy. I play some video games and just about any sport when I've got time which is less and less lately lol. I also build custom and overclocked computers for a hobby which is a lot of fun.

Oh yeah I live in Mesa, AZ around Mesa Drive and Southern if anyone ever wants to train. Hit me up! Cell is 480.278.4386

Zrako

P.S. If anyone is interested in reading some of my thoughts on parkour you can read them here

Zrako, Yeah unfortunately they were going through hip-hop teachers like crazy, and there was a reason. There were several who were decent but very unprofessional. Well, I'm not really sure if I'm working there still, they just haven't called me in a while.

I'm Wyatt Mack. You can call me anything, really. I'll probably respond to it.
I haven't really begun training yet, unfortunately. I've been busy with work, school, marching band, and WWII reenacting. The marching season is soon to end, so I'll have more time to train and actually get into shape.

I live in Mesa/Chandler depending which house I'm at. I am a senior at Dobson High School. Feel free to call or text whenever (I have unlimited) if you wanna do something and want a beginner around for a confidence boost. =P My cell is (480) 266 1168.

I'm seventeen, play alto sax, am a history nerd, and plan on learning German, Lithuanian, Russian and Polish before I graduate.

I am MURG hear me roar...meow

My name is Francesco Gabrial Caban, I am a movement educator, if you want to know what that is look at my website, http://www.alliedparkourtraceurfederation.com . thanks to Dave Grimes for yet another job well done. I have several classes I teach at the gymnastics facility I work at. My job is to explore all movement, respect all movement, and excel in all movement. Parkour is kind of the next step in that search and it had brought me to new heights. no pun intended, ha ha.

It is nice now to see how the community has become one again. It takes a lot of pressure off the shoulders of the guys/gals that work overtime to make this happen.

my cell is 602-339-1308 email is movement-3to1@hotmail.com look forward to the future and live in the present.

Francesco

Well, I guess this is kind of a re-introduction for me. I tried getting involved in the community a while back but a number of things happened in my life which kept me from doing so. Everything's getting a little more back on track though and it looks like some things are changing around here too. So my name is Todd(I won't say my age 'cause it'll make me feel old), I live in Phoenix/Scottsdale and I've been interested in Parkour for a while now. I'm up on the philosophy and discipline but haven't had much actual practice, mostly just conditional training. The practice of course, is what I'd really like to start doing more of. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to some of the future get togethers.

Name's Ben Gray, 22 years old and I'm a junior at the Art Center Design College of Tucson majoring in Animation, so I dig movement quite a great deal. I've had this shadow of an interest in parkour for several years, reading about it here and there, but never really getting into it. I've recently been looking for an alternative means to keep in shape other than going to the gym, because frankly, it's becoming difficult to afford! Not to mention, there's a lot more to parkour than keeping in shape, and it is fun to develop more than just one's body.

I've trained in martial arts off and on for probably a total of three years, and I bike a good bit.

Since everyone's handing out their cell phone numbers, mine's 520-909-6241-- if you wish to get in touch, best chances are to send me a text! I have problems being able to answer the phone sometimes!

OH, and thanks again for pointing me this way, Dave (=

yo, I'm Kevin. I'm a math student at ASU. Not been terribly active here recently (and both my training log here and the way I was planning to train te semester have died... instead i'm just trying to work on flow and balances whenever I get the chance... and I'll let strength keep up as it will)

hit me up at 602.214.5412 if you want to train together... I'm (almost) always down for that.
my stomping grounds are north phx (near ASU west), downtown phx (central ave +/- a mile), and the ASU main campus. I'll definitely go other places, I just need a little planing to do so since I'm carless right now

What's up everyone? My name is Nate Schwartz...I am a 22 year-old Kinesiology senior at ASU and have ZERO tracing experience - looking to change that in the near future. I just now did a google search for Parkour in AZ, found this site, registered, and am looking to get involved in the phoenix area, but more specifically, Tempe. Lately I have been trying to get into really good shape mentally and physically, but so far have had to resort to a treadmill to gain results (and i HATE running while staring at a wall...so I figured I would try to put a little meaning into my workout, meet some new people, and try ).

Other background info: I grew up in Flagstaff, so I am naturally a outdoorsy person...I play basketball regularly (any ASU students may recognize me from the SRC) and practice yoga daily...in the next 6 months I plan on attending a yoga teacher training so I can teach around the valley. I believe that yoga and parkour should go hand-in-hand, as I notice that in yoga one must be focused on the mind-body connection in order to succeed, and I believe that parkour is no different in that regard. I consider myself to be very athletic, and I am sure I will have no trouble keeping pace while running, but like I said I am inexperienced to running with obstacles: so any tips would be welcomed.

please, please email/call me with any meet-up plans in the near future, or tips on hotspots for tracing around the valley...I look forward to hearing from the lot of you!

Hello everyone. The name is Vic. I'm 22 and born and raised in Tucson. I have always been interested in Parkour and tried stuff on my own but don't really have the fundamentals to pull anything off. I'm a serious paintball player and I think this kind of training can really help me out on the field since all my moves need to be fast and precise. Hoping to get in touch with other tucson guys. I live on the Northwest side of town. Cell # is 520-481-1062 and best way to reach me is by text. I can't wait to get started.
