In wake of the recent server problems iv decided to really go and do this project im still looking for help! and if u can id more then appreciate it. more info will be posted soon! but heres a few new dev shot of the first (test) map, texture are all just place holders for now, until I get a texture artist…

Delta Force Advanced is continuation of the tribes mods DF and DAF. I’m taking it out of the context of it being a mod, and having it be a stand alone free game. So basicly what im striving for is to keep the same pace and feel of the tribes DAF, but adding all the features that people have wished for.

Wow, if I was just looken at those pics., id swear that those were from another game.

yup, it may even look better cuz all my setting arnt all up, only thing that would be different is the terrain and the textures in the pic.

the game is going to use allot of "next gen" graphics options so making objects/ vehicles, and people takes a long ass time
Basically this is what i have to do for every model. 1st i need to make a High poly model (not meant to be in the game) http://www.unrealtechnology.com/screens/ch...r_creation1.jpg 2nd i need to make a low poly model, one that would be rendered in the game it self http://www.unrealtechnology.com/screens/ch...r_creation2.jpg Lastly i need to use the high poly to generate bump maps, and also paint it. the bump map makes the lower poly look like the higher because when light hits the bump map it shades it as if it were 3d, when really its just a texture. http://www.unrealtechnology.com/screens/ch...r_creation3.jpg -------------------- |

Oh, and - i just forgot - can you make the crawling images really ceawl on the ground like in the real wars(on the belly)?

Mitchy- i want people who played the tribes ones to be able to play this one so there will be a low detail setting that will use the same or maybe a bit more detail then tribes.
Night Elf- their will be laying down and crawling in the game, as well as rolling, and leaning around corners. -------------------- |

But will it have software rendering? I can't run Tribes even, with the OpenGL driver. |

opengl runs funny on my comp, i try to stick to software.
