Your Powers
1 -Nobody in the game is yet aware of these strange changes. It's a fact that we'll have to develop slowly and nicely, but we still ask you to elaborate these effects in your Bio. Please, no kind of overly powerful powers such as ' Can control all elements and blow the planet up if he concentrates ! ' crackness.
2 - Somehow, I have to say this ; You are not in perfect control of your power, you are not a superhero from the future, or something ! You can not discover your power one day and be totaly controlling and understanding them, the other day.
3 - Please, no Magical/Complex powers like ; sensing the energy of dead people and have the possibility to talk to them, if they were exposed to Omega 3 before their deaths and blah de blah... This new phase of the human's evolution, in the game, is only at it's first step, so keep it kind of basic. If you create your power yourself and aren't sure wheter it breaks this rule or not, you can ask an admin and we will answer you. We don't bite !
4 - If you wish, your character can be completely unaffected by the water.
The Characters
1 - You may bring in a character of your own, but make sure you have a look at our Canon Characters, first. If you want to create a relative for one of these characters, you can discuss it with an admin and/or the person playing the character, and we can work something out. If you want your character to be friend with another, there is no discussion to do ; this is a school they all know each other.
2 - You can play as many characters as you want, but it's important that you know your own boundaries. Try not to take only characters from the Canons, mostly not two characters that need to interact a lot with each other.
Canon Characters
1 - If you wish to take a character from the Postes but want to use a different Celebrity to portray him/her, you can PM an Admin and discuss it. You can also make a request to change the powers, but do not ask for both. Because if there are too many things you'd like to change about the description, maybe you could simply make up your own character...
2- The History written for every character is to be developed ! We gave you only bases and important facts of their lives and personality, your job is to create the rest. And oh, by the way, here's a special rule. To make sure that you red the rules entirely, you must put your character's name in a different color than the default one, in your Bio.
3 - You can submit your own ideas for the Postes-Vacants. Exemple ; You have your own character and it is stated in his/her bio that she/he has a sister or a brother. Then you can send a short Bio , as seen in the Postes, to one of the admins so we can add it to the list.
4- There might be some postes who doesn't have Side effects/Powers. It doesn't mean that they don't have any because they are imune, it's just that that part of the description is incomplete... Yes, we Admins have blocks two, you know : P.
The Avatars
1 - You must choose a celebrity, a myspace model, etc. to portray your character and stick to him/her. And PLEASE do not use people like ' Shakira ' or ' Fergie ' for a 15 year old student... An Admin or Mod is allowed to ask you to change your celebrity, shall it break this rule.
2 - The ' Face claim ' tread in the ' Sign Up and section is a list of every celebrities already taken and who they portray. Check it out to make sure the person you want to take isn't already taken. The only ones allowed to use the same person for their Avatars are twins.
3 - The default size of Avatars will now be 200*400 for every members. If you are not familiar with these kind of graphics, then you can meet up in the sub forum ' Graphic Help/Requests ' under the ' Questions and Announcements ' forum.
The Board
1 - This board is for experimented RolePlayers. I mean that Posts and Characters such as ( *Smiles* Hi there, I'm Bob. Want to make out ? ) do not belong here at all. These examples I give always sound drastic and silly but trust me, they all are real facts that happened on my older boards. Experimented and Serious RPers here means to me ; people who have fun with creating characters in a different universe and to experiment how these people can evolve in new circumstances that we do not go trough in real life.
So, basically, no One Liners allowed.
2 - Any racist, mean or pornographic statement outside of the game are to be punished, depending on the situation. If you have a problem with someone on the board, deal with it somewhere else ! It is a RPG Board, we're here to have fun. Every differences in the real life should not even matter here.
3- This PRG is rated PG 15+. Swearings, violence and even light sexual content are tolerated here, because I mean, this is the real world. If you decide to join, we assume that you consider yourself old enough for those kind of things.
4 - Feel free to come up with interesting situations and Plots, we highly encourage that. Pools will be set up once in a month to vote some changes and new plots, so you can give your ideas and opinions.
5 - SMS typos in posts are forbiden. Theyre allowed only in the Email/Texting section. There is one thing I am kind of obsessed about on Boards, and it's ; Typography. Please, a well written post in 3rd person = Love ! Make sure you have capitals where they should be and separate your paragraphs and dialogues properly, and do not abuse those poor exclamation points, mostly not in titles. I always have my eyes open so yeah, fear me...
6 - No one is perfect, we all make grammar mistakes ; but do your very best to avoid them. Here's a little tip, type your post in some writting softwares, like Word, before postiing, it does help !
7 - There is a Posting lenght rule you are asked to follow. Posts can be as long as you want, long posts = Love, but they must not contain less than 3 good paragraphs. Also, a well spaced post should look like this :

So I told you I'm Bob, goody. Now let's keep going. I write paragraphs and dialogues and I make sure to space them properly. Isn't it just beautiful ? Yet, it's not really long ... I could write other things that Bob is thinking, at the moment, or his expectations reguarding your answers. He could even start thinking about how cute you would look in a Mickey mouse suit. Yes, Bob has an easily distracted mind. Now, that's really good, just with that, I can make a paragraph ! |
