Ancient Betrayal
LeithaWelcomeSite
The season is Summer, and Leitha is lush and green. The birds and animals have since returned to the forests and meadows, bringing beauty and colour back to the once-broken lands. The conditions are very hot – it would be wise to find shelter during the hottest parts of the day. The evenings and warm and pleasant, with the nights growing shorter daily. This years pups are now two seasons old, able to leave their mother’s side and wander off by themselves. Still – it would be wise to keep an eye on them. Even Leitha has it’s dangers…

Although the conditions are lovely, and Leitha has al but returned to normal, there is a dark shadow imposing upon the land. Lhach-Fëa now wanders the flourishing lands. Lone wolves beware…

In Leitha, a perilous but beautiful land bordered with the high peaks of the Tirin Mountains on one side and the vast Kuluma Plains on the other, live and thrive six wolf packs. The Losselie are a pack of gentle wolves who dislike violence. The Nukumna are care-free and fun-loving, while the Ohtar are brave and warrior-like. The Aikale are morbidly intelligent and keep to themselves and the Vanima are proud and arrogant with a firm belief that they are superior. The Rouko are cruel and malicious and take pleasure in watching their enemies suffer.

When the six packs first came to Leitha, an alliance was formed, and the packs lived in relative peace. However, as the seasons passed, the six packs grew further and further apart, until they had all but lost contact. In this time of weakness, when each pack stood alone, disaster struck. A mist descended upon Leitha, bringing with it a hideous disease. Those infected would go mad, their maws frothing and their eyes a terrible red, and die a horrible death, their bodies shaking as if possessed. The sickness spread like a forest-fire, consuming all in its bloodied path. Many wolves lost their lives, and the six packs were left scattered and broken.

However, in this time of death, there remained one safe haven. Varna Lond; a place nestled deep within the dreaded Gurtha Nanda, the Forest of Death. Those who dared enter Gurtha Nanda and make their way into its heart would find themselves in a clearing, its lush silvery grass dotted with flowers of green, blue and red. Six boulders stood in a circle; the Alphen Council. Here, the mist did not reach; it played and swirled at Varna Lond's borders. The sky was clear and blue, and come nightfall, the watchful moon could be seen in the cloudless sky.

Hearing of this safe place, the six alphens gather there, and reform their alliance as the mist slowly fades. Others gather in Varna Lond, seeking shelter from the ill-bringing mists. The land revealed when the mists disperse is a broken one. The forests, once filled with the song of birds, are silent; the meadows and hills stripped of life. The six alphens return to their lands, and begin the task of rebuilding the six packs of Leitha.

SLOWED!
AB has been slowed for a littlw while - just while the admins are working on a new "project". ^_~ I'll never tell...

I have noticed a growing trend with posting here - people seem reluctant to post if their posts aren't going to be incredibly long. Remember - as long as it is longer than one-line, it's perfectly acceptable. Nobody is going to hate you because you're posts aren't novel-sized. ^_~ And yes - I am guilty of said accusation. I was often been putting off posting because I don't have enough muse to write huge long ones. Tsk. What a brilliant rolemodel I am.
