How many snails do you have? I have a huge load of small ramshorn snails, but they don't do anything!
I haven't seen any wingless fruitflies at my lps...do they sell them at yours? As another note, don't pinhead crickets bite (as do all crickets) and may cause injury? |

I have no idea what kind of snails they are...they came in with the river rock and the plants.
Yes, I can get wingless fruitflies from my local pet store. I don't know if pinhead crickets can bite but they would be small enough for them to eat. Anyways, before introducing them I will introduce the flies and aphids. |

Ramshorns are very small, reproduce quickly, and have a spiral shell.
Remember to have the flies filled with the most nutrition possible because when frogs are young, they need a lot of nutrition! -------------------- I Currently Own:

Then that's what I have.
The baby is now a free swimming tadpole. Time to feed bloodworms, daphnia, crushed lettuce etc. |

Great! Will you be considering Infusoria as a food source? You ca ngrow them by boiling cabbage and then putting the cabbage + water in a jar outside for a while.
I'll be putting up a food article in +/- 24hrs so hopefully it'll be of help to you. -------------------- I Currently Own:

Is that the same thing as boiling lettuce?
Why do all my posts say 49? It looks like it has stopped counting how many posts I've made. |

You're right, must be a glitch. Thanks for pointing it out. I am probably going to put a local based forum on my site so I can control any problems.
It might be the same as boiling lettuce, I've never tried lettuce. -------------------- I Currently Own:

I'll do what I can. I refer people to websites when they're looking for more info but other than that I don't know what I can do. What do you suggest?

I try to join some other forums of related info and put a link in my signature. I then go out and help many people on those sites and occasionally refer them over to here if they would like to speak to me whenever they would like.
I tried affiliating with other sites, but no other sites have returned an of my emails. Just having you here is good since no one else is active anymore. So thanks! By the way, how are the tadpoles going? -------------------- I Currently Own:

I definitely have one that is alive and swimming. I'm not sure about the others as I don't see them anymore. It's eating bloodworms right now and getting larger little by little. I've read a caresheet that gave some pretty helpful advice.

Did your big tadpole eat it's brothers and sisters? Hopefully the others are okay and are only hiding!
Are any of them big enough for pictures yet? -------------------- I Currently Own:

I wish they were big enough for pictures! I'm hoping the others are hiding...they escaped from the critter keeper when they were just born. It seems like the only smart one was the guy who stayed in the keeper.

Sucks when they escape! Look around, hopefully they are hiding in some nook or cranie where they can get food!

Last time I looked I did find them. I figure once they get big enough I'll rescue them. There is plenty of places to hide and plenty of food for them to eat as long as no one eats them first.

Good idea. Glad you found them! If they are surviving this long the way they are, why change that?

Can you believe I found 4 more batches of eggs tonight during my nightly inspection? They definitely were not there last night! 1 batch was on the heater (any idea how to get it off without harming the eggs? My husband says to leave it since I have the other batches.), 2 batches on one plant, and 1 batch on a different plant.
I'm stuck at 56. |

I suggest you listen to your husband and leave the eggs on the heater. There is not much you can really do to get them off without harming them.
Congrats on the eggs! -------------------- I Currently Own:
