FORUM RULES!
The Forum Rules
RULES. ARE. IMPORTANT. Here are the rules you guys will have to follow on here. The rules are there to better the alien lagacy, please try to stick to them Rule1: NO SPAMMING. This means you dont make a topic that's the same as another, and you dont put a one-word answer to a question -- try and elaberate; this will help expand topics. ---Rule1.a. This also includes Double Posting. At no time, OUTSIDE OF THE SPAM THREADS (random, general, etc.) is double-posting allowed. It's very annoying and will be considered a cheap way to gain rank/stats; this may result in rank degrades. Rule2: NO ABUSE. Meaning no name-calling, flaming, insulting, the works. Swearing is allowed here, however, if it is directed at a fellow member, you may be warned. Rule3: ONE ACCOUNT. You may only have one account/user alias/profile. If, for some reason, you have two accounts, contact a member of staff about it. People pretenting to be other members on the forum is immature and stupid, and if caught, you'll be banned, no questions asked. Rule4: SHOW SOME RESPECT. Insulting a moderator/member will result in a warning! Rule5: SAY HI! All new users must post in the Welcome Thread under the Welcome Board. this will prove you have read the rules (users who don't respond to this rule will be warned). Rule6: FIGHTS/ARGUEMENTS. If some idiot comes on the site bitching and flaming, just ignore him or simply contact a member of staff! Members who take part in pathetic arguements in an immature way may be warned or banned! ---Rule6.a: Please dont delete your account if you have an argument, it's quite childish, and you may regret it afterwards. Try and sort it out or worse, just ignore the person. We recruit moderators for a reason. Rule7: KNOWING WHERE TO POST. Please do NOT post in the Warnings topic or any topic having to do with the rules as this is for the moderators and the administrator. Doing so will result in an immediate warning. Please people, we want no spam in these threads, period. ---Rule7.a: Don't be a forum-whore. Knowing where to post also has to do with knowing how to post and knowing when you should post. You do not need to post in every thread that you visit! And if your posts are irrelevent to the topic or to anything at all, it will result in those posts getting deleted. ---Rule7.b: If you aren't able to post for a while, just PM(PM=Private Message) a member of staff. You dont have to tell everyone on the forum about it, especially if it's only for a day or two. We hate people creating Goodbye... topics mostly they just want to hear a thousand I'll miss you`s... it's sad. Rule: 10 Pornographic Content This is NOT ALLOWED! What so ever, doing so will result in a ip address ban, along with account deletion! This is strongly enforced!!! Rule11: ENJOY YOUR STAY! Have fun, and stick to these rules! NOTICE: These rules will be extended, furthering on information on subjects such as clans, signatures, etc. Rank The ranks are shown bellow. Note that spamming will be seen as a cheap way to gain rank and will result in a member of staff degrading your post count user posted image CLANS We all know what clans are. A special place to get away from the regular forum, and best of all, they have their own rules. But most importantly, it's a side you pick, or team for RPGs (role-playing game) if you will. So how do you get in a clan and how does it work, you ask? Look no further than below: How to Request Simple go to the clan forum on the main index and inside you will find a clan request topic. Theres only one topic for all clans at the minute. Don't expect to be in the clan you want to be in soon, it takes time to get accepted, and you have to prove yourself worthy. Clan hopping This is what you don't want to do. What's clan hopping? It's requesting to be in one clan, and when you're in that clan, you request to be in another, and another and another, and so forth. We hate that and we'd appreciate it if you didn't do that. Again, DO. NOT. DO. THAT. Proof of membership It is the clan leader's responsibility to inform Killswitch, the administrator, when a new member has been accepted into their clan. First, the member shall recieve the clan password from the clan leader via personal message and then have there clan logo added to their profile once the leader has informed Killswitch of the member. The alien logo is a green "A", the marines a navy blue "M" and the predator logo is a red "P". Makes sense? Good. Bellow is an example of how the logo looks. Note: Members will say clan member instead of clan leader user posted image To be a Clan Leader, it takes much more hard work and even though you get more privelages and powers, take this saying in mind: "With great power comes great responsibility." The more powers you get, the more responsibilites you get. Capiche'? The Signature guide A signature - what is it? What can you do with it? After you have registered, you may set your sig(signature). This is a piece of text or an image that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper or in this case a footer. If the administrators has enabled signatures which we has, then you will be able to include your signature on any posts you make. If you have specified a signature, then the board will automatically append your signature to any messages you post. You can set your signature by editing your profile and clicking on the "Edit Siggniture" link and "Update" once youve made the desired changes. To adjust your profile just select your name at the top of the board or simply enetr your control pannel Sig Sizes the max size you can have your sig at is 135x480 Sig Limit All members are limited to one sig with text above or below the sig such as Peterson. Sig request thread??? Unfortunately not everyone can make these graphics or at least make good ones ....If you would like one go to the correct baord "Fan Art and make a request topic.. the board be will monitored and requests will hopefully be filled asap Tips for requesting Try to as helpful to the designer as possible. Be sure to state what you want on your sigg ergo, alien, predator or marine. also clear up what text you want on the sig.. leave nothing ... remember most designers dont save the PSDs used to create members siggs as they are quit simply to large ..... ergo once your sigg is created we cant really edit it .... so dont decide you forgot to mention something in your initial request XD In addition to this try not to be to specific ....give the designer room to work and hopefully create a good sig... remember the designers on the site simple take an image of an alien, predator etc and make your sigg around the image .... in other words the images have to exsist so if your request is quit specific and the images may be hard to find, youl have to supply the images yourself as its tiresome goggling for ages trying to find specific types of images So if your request is "*I would like a sigg with a marine standing behind a predator with a sniper rifle and a cigarette whilst an alien is ine the corner eating a bowl of kelogs corn flakes*" your going to have to supply those images lol or maybe get daveberg because most of us just cant make that happen XD One more thing .... about a year and a half ago i got a request from this site requesting the text on thee sigg to say " By the tiem you know im there.... Your dead" ... Please try not to request to much text .. firstly text is one of the hardest things to get right on a sig and secondly whats the point in filling your lovely new graphic with pointless text, its jsut wasting space... if youve got you snappy little catch phrases simple display the textually below your sigg .... thanks Hosted for free by InvisionFree (Terms of Use: Updated 7/7/05) | Powered by Invision Power Board v1.3 Final © 2003 IPS, Inc.
