So today i bought a furby from a thift store and opened him up he had exploded batteries in him i cleaned him out and put new batteries in and he doesnt work what should i do?

Dab a cotton swab in some white vinegar and rub it over the metal contacts on the Furby's battery compartment.
Make sure it's dry, and then try the batteries again.

i tried the vinegar thing and baking soda neither worked so i stole my Halloween furby's battery door and put it on the broken one just to see if that would work and it did :D so then i switched it back to his door and he works perfectly his mouth movements were off at first but that's fine as least he works and he is super chatty

the evil child that had him before fed him chap stick and little kid lipstick -.-
it was up under his beak and under his tongue
and when i pulled his fur up i found even more chap stick
the smell of the lipstick wont go away but im hoping as i wipe him down
with Lysol wipes the smell will fade


I still can't seem to get my Halloween furby to work and I'm a bit frightened of the thought that i might have to open him up completely :/
he starts talking after pressing reset like 8 times then pause after saying like three words I don't know what to do :/

at least now I only have one temperamental baby to worry about.
