Title: Furby To Go

MintyDreams - May 19, 2011 07:20 PM (GMT)
Value Village was having a 50% off sale a few days ago.
I didn't find any electronic Furbys, but I did find this for only $2:

Furby Backpack!

I'm definitely going to be wearing this thing around all summer. :D

Cool. You should put a real furby in it! Lol
:tux:

Ha ha!
If put a Furby inside, the ears might become restricted and I wouldn't want to jam up the gears. XD

nice one!
I also have a Furby backpack, but mine is black (and not the same model. mine had an embroidered face) :) people do give strange looks when I wear it, but I still love it  I like it especially because its zipper is on its back, so if you have it on your back there's no way someone could sneak a hand in to steal something from it.

Heehee. I do wear it around all of the time, and I've gotten quite a lot of compliments on it such as "I like your backpack, it's cute!" and "Cool, Furby!'

^_^

at first I thought it might have to do with the age, but just checked your profile and you're only 2 years younger than me :D than it must mean that you there in Canada have more tolerant people :) - or just that Furbys have more "meaning" there. here neither Furbys nor any other virtual or digital pets lasted long in shops, people just didn't seem to like them much (and they still dislike them, which I come across quite often as I still walk around with tamagotchis).

Aw, that's too bad that it's not as popular where you are.
Virtual pets were extremely popular when I was in middle school and Tamagotchis were the newest thing. Every kid had one. XD I've been a collector of virtual pets ever since.

The craze did die out by the end of the 90s, but it seems that people still remember them even now. I get a lot of positive comments on my Tamagotchis and Furby backpack. I guess it must be nostalgic. ^_^

huh, sorry for bringing up an older topic, but I accidentally found a backpack similar to mine on eBay:

^^
however the pic's a bit bad, it's not this fat and round in real life, I think it leaned a bit backward when it was photographed.

and also about a week ago I have bought a reeeeeally small Furby backpack which hase eyes that open and close, just like they eyes of some dolls. I bought it through the net, and I didn't even know this feature ^^ I promise to make pics of it, but it is so filthy and I have yet to clean it somehow (I didn't dare to put it in the washing machine, not even in a gentle washing which I usually use for washing second-hand-bought plushies - I'm afraid it would do harm to its winking eyes).

I love it!! Although I like the plastic-faced ones better.
