First of all, welcome to the site! Myself and the moderating team all wish you a very good stay with us here at Acts of War. But before you meander off and start posting, there are some rules that you need to know before. All members, new and old, need to read the rules and check them when updated. Although there is no penalty for not reading an update, it may hurt you in the long run when you post something that was outlawed at the previous update. If the law (pun intended) is upheld, we can all live in peace.

Always remember the golden rule: Use common sense. If you don't think that you should post it, don't. All of the Administrators, Global Moderators, and Moderators are poised to punish any wrong doers. The rule do not encompass every violation possible but you can be punished for them. If you remember the golden rule, you will not have to be banned from this site.

Divulging of Copyrighted Materials: Never, in any instance, is it permitted to post any copyrighted information from Games Workshop or any of its branch companies (like Forgeworld). Not only does this get you in trouble, but it puts our forum in jeopardy as well, so just don't do it. Also, if anyone asks you from copyrighted material over the PM system, bring it to the attention of myself or one of the Global Moderators. You may just be rewarded for your efforts.

Grammar and Spelling: English is the language that we speak here at Acts of War. Always read over your posts to check that everything is spelled correctly and your grammar is up to par. Using other languages to bypass the filters to swear is not permitted. Also not that "l33t" speech is not permitted and will result in a warning/ban depending on the number of offenses.

Posting Guidelines: Advertising links to warez, pornography, information of pirated software, etc. is not permitted and will be punished harshly. Spam, flame wars, and trolling are also not permitted. Under no circumstances will advertising be permitted in posts but a link in your signature is acceptable. Any racist, sexist, or otherwise "bad" comments will be disciplined fully. This is meant to be a friendly forum and abusers will be banned without remorse.

Respect: The hierarchy of the forum is such: Administrators are the ones who have developed the forum and have/are run/running the forum. They are the leaders of the forum and have ultimate power over all the members. Global Moderators moderate and run the entire forum. They are, in the most cases, the most knowledgeable and oldest (besides the Admins) members in the entire forum. Moderators run their respected forum but their moderating power stops there.

All of the staff members are to be treated with the up most respect and should always be held in high esteem. If you disrespect, insult or in any way offend a staff member, we usually let the offended deal out the punishment.
