Folks,
We have been very kindly invited to join the parade down union street for this years christmas light turn on ceremony on sunday the 15th November. The theme is obviously christmas and the more outrageous and silly the better!! This has gained a bit of interest at recent meetings but no real progress has been made. My first question is would you like to participate?? (replies by email or contact me on 07950 985889) With moving house just now i neither have the money or the time to take the reigns or decorate my mini so i am looking for someone with a little spare time to co-ordinate our club if we are going to parade. It could be a nice bit of end of season fun and an opportunity for a photo or two for the website and send in to the mags? There shouldnt be too much to organise so do we have any volunteer types amongst us? Also to be noted is we will need to have "marshalls" walk alongside the parading cars to ensure no pedestrians try to walk across the road as we pass by. I will happily volunteer my services for this but depending on the number of minis we would need i would think at least 4 marshalls. Not a huge amount of time but plenty if we put our minds to it. Come on folks lets show people how much fun owning a mini is :):) cheers Alex |

I am probably taking the kids to see this.
We were going to this last year until 2 min before we left my son decided to climb to the top of the cat tree using the curtains resulting in 1 x broken cat tree 1 x broken curtain rail 1 x egg on his head from landing on the radiator? |

Hi guys, We are new to Aberdeen, heard on the radio about the Mini Club being in the parade tomorrow. I didn't know we had a mini club here. I sent a text this morning to the mobile number at the start of this thread. She's not a show mini, but nice enough (Nevada Red Mini 35), I could put some tinsel through the grill for xmas :)
So if you want another car we're available. Also my husband can marshall if needed. Let us know, keen to join the club as well, now that we know you exist! |
