thanx guys for the kind words.....i burned my rendition to cd and listened to it over and over...that's when all the problems start to show themselves. i wish i had the time to re-do it. this is also the first time i put down something where i just winged the whole thing (except for the first parts). i usually spend days re-doing everything because my timing isn't great, i lose my place, think too much, hit wrong notes in an attempt to play outside the box. just for reference: here is an entry for an older contest where i spent alot of time constructing everything

That's exactly the way I am too, bro! I think I could run through my version once or twice, lay down the leads, and it's done, right? Wrong. I'm usually not happy with my guitar tone, or I'm off, and not feeling the vibe. Something you think would be so simple can take hours! laugh.gif

Mark - You are a pro man! Why you never made it big I'll never know. You could play with the best of 'em! You kicked ass on "Vaccine"!! thumbup.gif

Thanks Mark! But I didn't do everything on that track. My brother Dave did the vocals. I can sing some stuff but I would NEVER attempt that! laugh.gif He's a multi-talented musician. Dave also plays guitar, bass, drums, and can actually sing!

He hasn't been into music lately though. He's concentrating on building his foundation with his career now (Real Estate). He's kickin' ass with it too! Do you remember the "Bee Gee's"? Check out this parody he did of one of their songs. He did everything on this track...

QUOTE (MetalBabe @ Nov 26 2009, 07:52 PM)
Is Dave better playing guitar than you?

Hmm, why would you ask a question like that, babe?!

Dave better than me? Yes, he is with some of the stuff he plays. He always says I'm better than him when I rip on solos, but he can rip too!

I don't compare myself with any guitarists anymore, or claim to be better than any guitar player. I'm done with competing. I enjoy recording and shredding on the guitar, and I will do it until the day I die. wink.gif

I've seriously been thinking about getting back into drums. I'm still damn good (yes, I said it). I can kick ass with ANY band. wink.gif Do you you like John Bonham? My style is a lot like his. Solid.

Damn, I can't believe I made that post last night. You started it though with that question, Lisa! laugh.gif I'm not stopping playing guitar.

When I think of Dave Droder and what happened to him being parallized, it breaks my heart, and being able to play the drums makes me want to continue on for him in his spirit. Does that make sense now? tongue.gif

As for Dave (my brother). We'll record a tune and have a guitar battle, and then you will see how he can play. I LOVE doing that shit!! laugh.gif
