I've finally made a decision that life's short, and I need more music in my life again. Seems like all I do is work and the family thing, which is great, but need to get the head space thing working again. Playing to myself, and on occasion with my friends is great...but just not enough, I've decided.
That hardest thing has been to find musicians into the 'heavy' scene still, the older I get. However, I've recently run across a fantastic bass player that's looking for a similar arrangement. We're meeting up for a jam this friday night, to see how things work out. So ya'll have ta wish me luck on that program. There's also a drummer that's looking for the same. We've not contacted him yet, thought we might get a few things together first, and then make contact. The point being...while the work and family thing has it's definite bonus points, I'm really missing some of that dynamic 'nothing matters' program as well! I've been traveling the globe for 20+ years for work, and when I'm home, I need smore that music space! Do ya'll feel me? Peace, Rodent -------------------- |

Good luck with that. I just started a new band this last weekend. We have our frist practice on Monday and are looking to start playin the circuit. We are all 40 or over, and are playing stuff like Danko Jones, HIM, Nickel Back, Puddle of Mud, 3 Doors Down, etc. All the guys said it was hard finding people that wanted to play 1-2x month and this kind of music. I am looking forward to it.

Sounds good bro, Canadian bands got me through the grunge 90's (Big Wreck, Econoline Crush, Headstones etc etc). One of my fave bands right now is Thornley. I think Come Again was a lot better, but Tiny Pictures is a damn good disc. -------------------- |

We've been playing together for at least 8 years now. We are fortunate that our band just "Vibes".
CellarRodent, If you seem to get good vibes with the bass player get it going! Bring the drummer in and see how he works with you and (Above all) your bassist. Craig and I pretty much knew right off the bat we'd make a kickass rhythm section together since we just "Clicked". -------------------- ![]() You take a mortal man, And put him in control. Watch him become a god, Watch peoples heads a roll. Just like the pied piper lead rats through the streets, We dance like marionettes. Swaying to the symphony of destruction ![]() |
