Project Xias - Book 1: The First Betrayer

Prologue: The new age.

Project Xias was supposed to bring the next generation of super-soldiers into the 22nd century. Instead, it brought chaos, death, malice, fear and doom to all of mankind, which plagued earth for over 300 years

But how did such a thing happen?

At the beginning of the 22nd century (2100 AD), a bio-scientist called Hamas Xias decided to make tactical war a thing of the past and create bio-engineered super-soldiers. The American government decided to approve such a project, due to apparent terrorist attacks from all over the world. The first experiment, Codename: Scyther was a complete success. Scyther still lives to this day – 2449. However, hundreds of other experiments got out of control and broke free, threatening humanity with their superiority. The government tried to cover the situation with an Al-Qaeda super-terrorist rumor. It stuck…for a while. Then, Xias died of a neural disease. All of his extended research was lost, and the vital parts to controlling the soldiers were lost.

The American government took over the creation of the super-soldiers, with success at the start. However, with the Xias army at the government’s control, without knowing how to really control the soldiers, things started to get out of hand. Political assassinations, bloody public exhibitions and worst of all, local terrorism. The soldiers were discharged, Codename: Scyther however, was the only one who was not discharged. The ex-members of the Xias army decided to create their own clan.

The clan was, and still is, called The Bloodshard Clan. Their aliases are: The Bloodshards, BSC, and Bloodshard.

Nearly all countries had been wiped of humanity during the “World Suppression” of 2106; a human group – called The Xias Redemptors (TSR) - had emerged, willing to fight against the super-soldiers and all they stand for. The only country that had not been wiped at all was England, who had been able to tactically and powerfully remove the Bloodshard invaders from their country. And to think, people thought America had the best army and defense units…The only thing is, no-one who isn’t in England cannot gain access to the country, as all air transport had been destroyed in a technological takedown. Only the clan who destroyed human’s form of transport could travel by air, with their own form of transport…They are called in the human tongue ‘Ash-tongue gliders’.

300 years…That is how long the Bloodshard Clan and humanity have been fighting against each other for.
300 years of driving humanity to the brink of doom.
300 years to find the solution.
300 years to end the damning war.
